Cities and other local jurisdictions seeking partners for broadband expansion can explore solutions at City-Vendor Connect on Aug. 3 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The one-day event is part of nonprofit KC Digital Drive’s Gigabit City Summit and co-hosted by the Washington D.C.-based Next Century Cities network in an effort to improve access to high-speed broadband by boosting infrastructure investment.
“Speed networking” sessions will allow cities and vendors to discuss needs successful local broadband models will be showcased.
“City-Vendor Connect will provide excellent opportunities for city leaders to get more information and make initial connections with vendors that can provide innovative solutions for community connectivity problems,” said Next Century Cities Executive Director Deb Socia.
All vendors are welcome, and no specific technologies or broadband models are endorsed.
