Connecting state and local government leaders
Join us on Wednesday for a special digital event focused on transportation technology, including a Route Fifty interview with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval.
Evolving transportation technologies are set to bring disruption—as well as new opportunities—for our nation. State leaders need to be prepared for new realities that are just a few years away. From setting the right conditions for testing and deploying autonomous vehicles on roadways, to integrating intelligent infrastructure, to the expanding use of ride-booking apps and other mobility options—government policies and programs must keep up with the rapidly changing reality of transportation.
How are state leaders preparing for innovative and inventive technologies that fundamentally alter the way we get from from Point A to Point B?
Join Route Fifty on Wednesday morning for a special discussion with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, as well as state transportation chiefs and thought leaders from across the nation: Live from the National Governors Association Transportation Innovation Summit during CES2018 in Las Vegas.
As part of the summit, Mitch Herckis, Route Fifty’s senior director of programs, will interview Gov. Sandoval, who is the current chair of the NGA. They will explore his Chairman’s Initiative, Ahead of the Curve: Innovation Governors, as well as how the governor and his colleagues are preparing their states for the “fourth Industrial Revolution.”
The agenda also includes a policy roundtable featuring state transportation directors of Nevada, Utah and Massachusetts and a tech roundtable featuring representatives from Uber, Lyft, Amazon and Proterra.
The digital event starts on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. EST / 8 a.m. PST.
